If you like the idea of taking a private pub tour with a fun friend who can also recommend the best drinks to have then this is the one.  Your host is me, Jane. I am one of the UK’s leading alcoholic drinks experts and write books on alcohol, architecture, and also London history. I was Britain’s first beer sommelier of the year, I am also the country’s first accredited cider sommelier, and have won many awards for my professional work.

On this tour we visit four incredible pubs and sit down for a drink and chat and then as we walk between the pubs you will also learn about interesting sites along the way – it’s two tours for the price of one!

I do not speak from a script, instead I respond to what my clients want to know which means each tour is personalised to your group.

Spending several hours with a stranger may be a daunting thought but I’m friendly and fun!

I choose the pubs to visit because of their historic authenticity as well as the availability of good beer and other drinks.  Depending on the day of the week the pubs might include a Victorian gin palace; an art nouveau public house; a Restoration alehouse; and an arts & crafts treasure, the only one of its kind in the world.

Food is not included in the tour price so I recommend that you eat beforehand.

Viator awarded this tour Top Global Experience and Best British Experience two years running. Client reviews say my tour was the highlight of their UK visit and what fun they had.  I love introducing visitors to London’s pubs and have as much fun as my clients do!  I look forward to welcoming you and giving you a memorable tour.

“My wife and I had a great time during our first night in London doing a pub crawl with Jane. Jane is very knowledge and a real joy to spend time with. We had the opportunity to visit 4 locations with Jane and I know that she spent more than the required time with us and it was greatly appreciated.

Would recommend spending as much time as possible with Jane. A really fun person to be around.”

“This was by far our favorite tour we did in London. We loved seeing the historic pubs and Jane was so knowledgeable on not just the pubs and the beer, but on the history of it all. It wasn’t just a “pub crawl” where you go bar to bar drinking, it was a fun walking tour where we learned a lot about the history of the pubs and got to see some historic parts of London. I would definitely recommend, and Jane was absolutely fantastic! Definitely a must-do!”

“Our best evening in London. It was not just a pub tour, it was a walking history tour of Old London. Jane is an acknowledged expert on beer and helped us in choosing just the right brew in each of the historic pubs we visited. On returning home, it was the Pub Tour that I have talked about. Don’t miss it.”
